WEISSBAECKER Susanne
As Global Head of Access to Medicines Susanne is leading Takeda’s strategy to enhance access and strengthen evolving healthcare systems with a focus on low-and middle-income countries. Prior to this role, Susanne was Head of Patient Access and Services in Takeda Europe and Canada and successfully developed and implemented patient engagement programmes for Entyvio and Ninlaro.
As a medical physician with a degree in business, Susanne has been working for about 15 years in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry in various roles.
Before joining Takeda, she engaged cross-sectorial partners from the public, civil society and private sector to move the health agenda in Non-Communicable Diseases and value-based Healthcare leading the Healthcare Community at the World Economic Forum.
Her broad knowledge and experience in access and patient programs has been developed in more than 10 years, when she worked as a Consultant in Emerging Markets including South East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
Susanne has been living and working in Western Europe, the US, the Middle East, and is currently based in Singapore.
